The Biggest Loser

OK, reality shows can be addictive.  Once I start watching one, it is hard to stop because I want to find out what happens to the people.  I like the concept of The Biggest Loser, but I am disappointed that they are not showing what the contestants are eating.  They show a lot of exercising and no eating.  Except for the “commercials” for gum and oatmeal, I don’t recall any mention about food.

Exercise is very important for weight loss and a healthy lifestyle, but so is food.  So, I am going to talk about food and healthy choices.  I believe that healthy choices is not about deprivation, it is about balance and moderation.  The best way to start is by adding healthy foods into your diet.  If you fill up on healthy food, then you will automatically eat less unhealthy food.

Dr. Weil’s 8 Weeks to Optimum Health is a great way to make changes on a weekly basis, or take it slower if needed, as long as you are moving in the right direction to good health.
