Acupuncture for Running

rhondaShRhonda Hogan - Acupuncturist runningAre you a runner or jogger and experiencing a related pain?

Many running injuries and pains are caused by the development or overuse of your running muscles. Over development can cause muscular imbalances or tightness that then cause the pain you are experiencing.

I have a solution.

My name is Rhonda Hogan (that’s me on the right). My style of acupuncture is called Trigger Point acupuncture.

Trigger point acupuncture is the ideal treatment for runners and other sport and activity related injuries. Trigger point acupuncture is an active, muscular acupuncture where a needle is inserted into the offending muscle and then probed looking to invoke involuntary twitching. This twitching tires the offending muscles and relives the related pain. Many problems that feel serious are actually trigger points stimulating nerves making the problem feel “nervy”.

I treat runners and joggers for ITB, plantar fasciitis, hamstring and calf problems, shin splints, knee pain and other running related injuries. I have a high success rate.

Plus, I’m an ex-competitive runner and a recreational runner to boot.
