Rhonda B. Hogan, L.Ac. (formerly Hirsch)

Rhonda is the Chief Acupuncturist and owner of Absolute Qi. She has been a licensed acupuncturist since 1999 and is licensed in New Jersey and New York and nationally certified (NCCAOM). She is practicing in New Jersey in Somerset.

Her style of acupuncture includes many disciplines including Acupuncture Physical Medicine (which includes trigger point release), Traditional Chinese Medicine and Japanese meridian therapy. Her personal style is polite, concerned and truly caring.

Rhonda excels at diagnosis. She takes all of the clues provided by you, your supplied medical information, her observations of your personal energy, your emotional state and stress level, your pulse, color, past medical treatments and their results, and much more into consideration when creating a treatment plan.

Rhonda graduated with honors obtaining a Master of Science in Acupuncture and a Certificate in Traditional Chinese Pharmacology from Tri-State College of Acupuncture (TSCA), New York, NY.

During her time at TSCA she interned at Sidney-Hillman Center, New York, NY (a Beth-Israel HIV out-patient facility). Upon graduation from TSCA she studied at Shu-Guang Hospital, Shanghai, China.

Rhonda began her health care studies in 1985 while attending Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a psychology minor. During her time at Lehigh University, she volunteered in the physical therapy department as an assistant.

A graduate of Somerset School of Massage Therapy, 1990. Rhonda’s related experience includes working as a massage therapist and as a microbiologist for a pharmaceutical company.

Michael Gonzalez, L.Ac.

Michael has recently joined us to fill in while Rhonda is out on a maternity leave. He is licensed in New Jersey and nationally certified (NCCAOM). Please refer back for a more in depth bio.

Susen Edwards, LMT

Susen has been in private practice in massage therapy since 1980. She specializes in chronic pain, stress management, spa therapy, and corporate wellness.

As Co-founder of Somerset School of Massage Therapy, Susen created and developed curriculum, policies and procedures for New Jersey's first state approved and nationally accredited school of massage therapy. She directed educational programs, taught anatomy, physiology, massage therapy, and business.

Her extensive experience with massage therapy both in private practice and teaching, along with being a certified personal trainer allows her to understand your needs.
