As a result of acupuncture, your body releases endorphins which is the body’s natural pain reliever. Have you ever heard of “Runner’s High”? That is a result of endorphins being released.
So, when I see patients leaving my acupuncture office here in Somerset, New Jersey looking like they are spaced out and really relaxed, which is all of the time, I call it “Acu High”. I always warn them to be careful while driving, just in case they are too relaxed.
