Alternative drink for those of you that need more than water.

As you will find out if you don’t know already, I am not crazy about various food ingredients, and one of them is high fructose corn syrup. It is rather notable that this ingredient is in an amazing variety of food. Go to the supermarket and try to buy something in a box without it or artificial sweeteners, which is another topic.  It can be done, but you’ll really have to dig.

So here is a healthy drink alternative we concocted for my husband that really works, he LIKES IT and does not miss the soda and sweetened iced tea.

We mix about 2 oz of 100% natural fruit juice into a glass of sparkling mineral water.  This “healthy soda” satisfies his need for a flavored drink, and lets him avoid high fructose corn syrup and artificial sweeteners.
